After months of hard revision Academy students are now half way through a month of GCSEs. One Year 9 student has taken French and German GCSE two years early and there are many Year 10s as well as Year 11s sitting exams over the next fortnight.
With English, French and German now complete the focus is now on History, Geography, Biology, Chemistry and Physics, with the Year 10 students taking their exams as part of a triple Science package.
Vice Principal Progress and Learning, Mr Topliss, says: “Our students have worked incredibly hard to prepare themselves for this very important time in their lives. They know good exam results will give them more choices and better prospects. We wish them all really good luck.”
Over the last two years there has been a stunning increase in The Skinners’ Kent Academy GCSE results. In its two years of operation, the Academy has improved the core measure of students with 5 or more GCSEs at grade A*-C including Maths and English by an outstanding 171%.
