Friends of The Skinners’ Kent Academy

Introduction

The Friends of The Skinners’ Kent Academy is an informal networking group established to provide support and resources to the Academy.

Newly established in 2009, the Academy has made continuing and significant academic progress and is scheduled to be in stunning new buildings by the Spring of 2013.  Working as Academy Advocates, Friends are a link between the Academy and their community.  They help to spread the word about the Academy’s achievements and aspirations and forge ties with local people and organisations.

Friends meet at the Academy several times a year to share ideas with each other and senior Academy staff.  They are also invited to key Academy events including the annual stage production, Prize Giving and Open Evenings.

The Friends membership covers a variety of backgrounds and a diverse range of skills.  Current members have interests in areas such as education, politics, business, art and local community roles.  All are committed supporters of The Skinners’ Kent Academy, which strives to motivate and inspire students to achieve of their very best, to fly high and to set course on the brightest of futures.

If you would like more information on how to join The Friends please send an email to info@skinnerskentacademy.org.uk
