We believe that it is vital that students’ efforts and achievements are recognised and celebrated. The most valuable and immediate reward is appropriate praise.
Therefore we endeavour to respond to students in a positive manner and expect that they do the same. There is a House rewards system which includes rewards for achievement, effort, good attendance and punctuality. At the end of each term there is a House Celebration assembly during which prizes and certificates are awarded to students. There is also three times a year at the end of each major term an Academy Celebration assembly. At the end of the each Academy year there is a formal Prize giving evening to which parents and carers are invited. There are a whole range of presentations given to recognise individual achievement in subjects, attendance, attitude to learning, sport and the Arts and also the Principal’s award for excellence.
