Students hosted a fantastic festive lunch for over 19 elderly local residents on Tuesday afternoon.
The guests were treated to a two course meal, a gift and a carol concert by the choir. There was also a flying visit by our very own Academy Father Christmas.
The event was planned and delivered by a group 20 students. They prepared and served the meal, dressed the table and wrapped the gifts. They also raised all the funds to pay for the event – making a very impressive total of £400.
Academy Assistant Vice Principal, Mrs Pomeroy, said: “We love running this event. Our guests had a wonderful time and it’s lovely to see the students’ pride at being involved in such a successful event.”
