The following excerpt is an email which was sent to Radio Kent during a programme on Academies:-

“My son joined the Skinners’ Kent Academy in September as a Year 7 student and to date his experience has been totally positive.  We were entering into the unknown as my son had been in private education for his primary education and narrowly missed out on the opportunity of a Kent Selection Test school.  But, any worries we had quickly passed as Skinners’ KA is an amazing school.  Initially, we were contemplating the private system again but upon passing the school decided to look at their website and this in turn made us want to visit.  I have to say that after meeting Mrs Sian Carr and listening to her vision for the school it exactly matched ours for our son’s secondary education… The quality of the lessons/timetable, pastoral care, discipline, the sport and lunch/afterschool clubs are all second to none… on top of this the children will in 2012 be moving into a fabulous new building and sports facilities.”
