January 2010 saw the launch of the Vivo Miles reward scheme within the Academy. Under the scheme, each student has been provided with their own private online Vivo account as well as a personalised Vivo ’credit card’. Academy staff will credit Vivo ‘miles’ directly into the accounts of students as reward for such things as academic achievement, positive behaviour, high attendance rate and maintaining requisite standard of uniform. Students will be able to monitor their own accounts online and when they have accumulated sufficient miles, students can either turn their miles into a cash donation to a charitable cause or exchange them for a gift.

The Vivo Miles reward scheme is being adopted by schools and academies nationwide as it not only provides traditional school awards systems with a contemporary format but also has the added premium of providing students with experience of managing a personal  account online.
