My son has just completed his first, and very successful, year at The Skinners’ Kent Academy. His primary education was spent in the private sector at Steephill School close to our home in West Malling.
During my son's time at The Academy not only has his education gone from strength to strength, but also his confidence and maturity.
We have been kept up to date of his progress with a report at the end of each term, six terms a year. As a Parent I feel able contact any member of staff via telephone, email or face to face at any time. They always respond very promptly regarding any queries I have raised.
My son has totally enjoyed his first year at The Skinners’ Kent Academy and some of his highlights have been:-
- The Year 7 team building residential trip to Carrotty Wood Activity Centre.
- The Master Classes at The Skinners’ Grammar School.
- The Residential Science Trip to The Nemo Centre in Holland.
- The visit to the Globe Theatre in London.
My family decided to visit The Skinners’ Kent Academy after seeing its roadside signage as we had never heard of the school and are so pleased that we did, as our son would definitely have missed out on the opportunities that this school has to offer him today, and in the future.
The main lesson that we have learnt from our experience with The Skinners’ Kent Academy is that if your child misses out on a school within the Kent selective system, it doesn’t mean that you have to settle for second best.
We are very proud of our association with The Skinners’ Kent Academy .
