Sixth Form Alumni

Meet some of the students who have studied, or are studying, at The Skinners' Kent Academy Sixth Form. Find out why they chose to study with us.

Emily Raj

Why did you choose The Skinners' Kent Academy for Sixth Form?

I wanted a completely different educational experience from the private school I was at beforehand. The school building itself is phenomenal and the facilities are the best in the area, it seemed like an incredible opportunity that I would have been stupid not to take. I am proud to say that I have studied at an outstanding school.
(See TEDx talk video below...)

How would you explain the International Baccalaureate Careers Related Programme (IBCP)?

The IBCP covers a broad range of subjects that allows you to create options and opportunities rather than narrow them, you become a well-rounded student with an international perspective.

What do you feel is the best aspect of studying at the Skinner’s Kent Academy Sixth Form?

You have the opportunity of studying a unique course at an outstanding school with fantastic facilities.

What have you enjoyed the most about being at the Academy?

I have enjoyed being in a different environment and meeting people from very different backgrounds because it has enabled me to grow an open-minded perspective.

How does The Skinners’ Kent Academy Sixth Form provide you with support, advice and guidance?

The classes are small which means you get all the help and attention you need from the teachers. Everyone’s opinion is valued both inside and outside the classroom because the support network of teachers, tutors and house staff are always willing to put you first.

What advice would you give students considering studying at The Skinners' Kent Academy?

View this course as something that will build you as a person and not just get you the qualifications you need for your next step.
