Governing Body Committees

There are four committees which meet separately – the MAT Staffing and Pay, MAT Finance and Resources, the SKA Local Governing Body and the SKPS Local governing Body.  These committees allow Governors time to debate and examine key issues; they meet several times over the course of the Academy year report to the MAT Board.

Governor training
Governors receive a training session prior to each Full Governing Body meeting. Further training is delivered at: a biennial Governor Awayday; an Annual Governor and Senior Leadership Team training session at Skinners' Hall (organised by The Skinners' Company) and in other sessions as required.   All governors are also required to complete two online training courses annually - Safeguarding and Child Protection and Channel General Awareness (Prevent).
