The Skinners’ Kent Academy (SKA) is delighted to announce the appointment of Hannah Knowles as the Academy’s new Principal. Hannah has been appointed following a rigorous recruitment process led by the executive search firm Perrett Laver which attracted a large number of very high calibre candidates from the maintained, independent and international education sectors. Hannah first joined SKA in 2018 as Vice Principal for Curriculum Progress and Learning and has been Acting Principal since April this year. She holds a Masters in Education from the University of Brighton and previously taught at St Gregory’s School, gaining wider experience as an Advanced Skills Teacher before being promoted to Gifted & Talented Lead Teacher, Subject Leader of Physical Education and finally to Assistant Head Teacher (Teaching and Learning). |
Hannah is passionate about SKA’s values and the community the Academy serves and combines a strong leadership profile with personal warmth.
On her appointment, Hannah said: “I am delighted and honoured to have been appointed as the next Principal of SKA. I look forward to working with everyone at SKA to build on the strengths of the Academy in the years to come.”
Professor Sarah Stallebrass, Chair of the MAT Board, said: “The Trustees and Governors are incredibly impressed by what Hannah has achieved in her post as Acting Principal and her ideas to build positively on developments at SKA to date. We believe Hannah’s strong leadership skills will enable her to inspire colleagues across the SKA community to ensure this high performing organisation continues to seize the opportunities and meet the challenges of a rapidly changing local and national educational landscape.”
