Principal Matthew Tompkins said, “I am incredibly proud of the progress and achievements of all our students and I am very excited by the opportunities in life that these results will offer them. Many of our students have produced excellent GCSE grades this year including some very strong individual performances. As well as gaining 2A*s and 2As amongst her GCSE results, Rosalind Carvell also achieved Grade 9s in both English and Mathematics – Grade 9 being the top of the new 1-9 grading system introduced this year for these subjects. Rosalind will be continuing her studies in the Sixth Form at SKA. Alistair Reed, together with his 2A*s and an A, also achieved 2 Grade 9s in English Language and Literature. Another outstanding performance came from Isobel Hall who gained 10 GCSEs, including 3 Grade 8s (in English Language, Literature and Mathematics), 3A*s, 2As and 2Bs. Many of our Year 11 students, along with a significant number of external students, will be joining our Sixth Form to study the International Baccalaureate Career-related Programme. We look forward to welcoming them to the SKA Sixth Form this September.”
