Fern Sneddon, who is in Year 7 at The Skinners’ Kent Academy, has won three golds at the National Games Dwarf Sports Association for both Badminton and Boccia. The games were held in Cambridge on the 7th and 8th of October, aiming to promote sports for those with restricted growth across the UK. Fern was first involved in the sports from the age of 3 years old and has been involved in serious training ever since she was in Year 5.
Fern said, “I felt really happy to be able to win my gold medals which I have been training for since I was young. I am now going to be more involved with the sports I compete in and the Dwarf Sports Association UK to get girls badminton fully recognised as a Paralympic sport.”
