On Wednesday 18 October, the London Chamber Orchestra performed to all students and staff at break time to the surprise of Year 7 students. The LCO performed arrangements of Prokofiev’s Dance of the Knights from Romeo and Juliet, the Imperial March from Star Wars and Piazzola’s Libertango. After the performance, students had the opportunity to play a vast array of orchestral instruments, which will lead onto students being selected to take part in this year’s LCO Music Junction project. The project will involve students working with professional musicians and other schools to be confident with their instruments, compose music and participate in a performance next year.
