Mayor of Tunbridge Wells visits SKA

1/4/2016

The Mayor of Tunbridge Wells, Cllr David Elliot visited The Skinners’ Kent Academy on Thursday 10th March and met with Principal Matthew Tompkins and Sixth Form Students. Cllr Elliot outlined the role of the Mayor and the responsibilities of Tunbridge Wells Borough Council. Students were then able to put questions to the Mayor and topics included development of Royal Victoria Place, Councillor salaries and the EU Referendum. Some students then described the priorities they would promote if they were Mayor including higher education provision in Tunbridge Wells and creating additional leisure time resources for young people in the area.
Cllr Elliot was then shown around the Sixth Form Art exam displays.
