On Monday 13th May, four representatives from the Finance Industry volunteered their time to run a workshop with our Year 12 students to give them a valuable insight into the life of a Finance Advisor. As well as understanding the role, students were introduced to the concepts of protection, pension, savings and investments through an interactive game 'Discovery Fortunes'.
As always, it is hugely valuable for our students to have the opportunity to meet real life representatives from the industry to help shape their own aspirations and career paths. A huge thank you to Maria and Matthew from Janus Henderson Investors, Simon from Prosperity IFA and Richard from AV Trinity IFA.

Well done to James who took his first ever London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA) exam with our Actor in residence Adam Leese. He was awarded a very high merit for Grade 4 performance. He has done this alongside his Drama curriculum, his work in Actors training after school and commitments at Trinity Youth Theatre. Congratulations!
We are pleased to announce that SKA reached the Silver level of achievement in the National Citizen Service (NCS) Champion School Award for student sign ups in the Summer of 2018. Local Recruitment Coordinator, Georgia Woolgar, presented a plaque and certificate to our Careers Education Information and Guidance (CEIAG) Coordinator yesterday and collected more student sign ups at break time for 2019!
Having completed the Metro Bank 'Money Zone' Personal Finance course last term (covering banking and saving, budgeting, borrowing, interest rates and keeping safe online) 13 students from Years 7 and 8 visited Metro Bank in Tunbridge Wells on Thursday 13th March. They were greeted by Local Director, Andre Van Zijl, and Store Manager, Valentine Masawi, and shown around the bank. Students got to use the Magic Money Machine, meet Metro Man and were each presented with certificates for completing the course.
