International Baccalaureate grades are awarded on a 1-7 scale, with 7 being the highest. Skinners’ Kent Academy students achieved 100% grade 4-7 in their courses against the International Baccalaureate average of 79%, demonstrating how the students can compete very successfully on an international scale.
Skinners’ Kent Academy students are members of the Skinners’ Company family of schools and as such are able to draw on the Skinners’ Company’s traditions of excellence, as well as benefiting from the framework and values offered by the International Baccalaureate. Principal Matthew Tompkins said “I am delighted with the results of our students which are a tribute to their hard work and the dedication of teachers and staff who supported them. I wish them every success for their futures and look forward to hearing about their further studies and blossoming careers”.
Skinners’ Kent Academy was inspected by Ofsted in early June this year and graded “outstanding” in all areas, including the Sixth Form. Inspectors said of the Sixth Form that “students make excellent progress from their starting points” and highlighted the students’ self-motivation and excellent personal skills.
