SKA in National Mock Trials Final

27/10/2015

Congratulations to all our students for their wonderful performance at the National Mock Trial Finals on 6 June.
It was a hard fought day and the SKA team of Year 8 and 9 students won both of their cases. They narrowly missed an award, but they received much praise from the organisers, spectators and volunteers for their professionalism and tenacity.
Mr Green and Mr Boyd, teachers of English, who have helped guide the students throughout their amazing journey said: "Everyone involved has worked hard and dedicated their time: parents, staff and of course the students themselves. We are extremely proud of the whole team."
The competition aims to introduce the legal system to young people in an innovative and exciting way, giving them the opportunity to gain hands on experience. Now in its 21st successful year, over 6,000 young people and 800 magistrates and other legal professionals are involved in the competition.
