Over a quarter of the cohort achieved a Grade 7 or above in Maths and English and there were a number of outstanding individual performances including Mitansh Choski who achieved nine 9s and one 8, Frank Peers who was awarded seven 9s, one 8 and one 7, and Grace Ball who attained five 9s, three 8s and one 7.
Commenting on the day, Acting Principal Hannah Knowles said: ‘We are delighted that we were able to invite our students into the Academy to collect their GCSE results in person. It was important to us that we could share this experience with them and be able to offer students face to face support.
We are proud of how well our Year 11 students have coped with the unusual circumstances and would like to thank all the teachers and parents/carers for their ongoing support.
We look forward to welcoming many of the students into our Sixth Form in September’.
