Year 7 and 8 CUP Creative Project

Conceptual Understanding
What is it?
Conceptual Understanding is an MYP inter-disciplinary approach to learning for Year 7 and 8 students.

Through the projects, we hope to open up the curriculum so that students can arrive at a new understanding of their world and their place in it by exploring a broader, deeper body of knowledge.

This will take the form of project based work which will be assessed using MYP criteria.  The projects will not replace Independent Learning, which will still be set regularly by all subject tutors.

Subject areas are organised into three clusters. Two projects per year are created by each cluster. Each term students will complete a project set by one of the subject clusters, as shown below… please take a look. Faculties will inform students of the ways in which they will be rewarded for their efforts. We encourage all students to be inquirers, to be creative and to enjoy!
