Medical consent

If your child requires any medication e.g. antibiotics or pain relief during the Academy day, consent must be received

To ensure proper handling, any medication must be brought to the student's Head of Year in its original containers, clearly labelled by the pharmacist with the student's name and dosage instructions. 

Once the medication has been handed into the Head of Year, it will be uploaded to our medication database and a consent letter will be emailed to the parent/carer with a link for approval. Prior to dispensing any medication, parents/carers are required to approve. Each medication requires approval and if there are changes in the dosage pattern, a new form must be filled out.

It is the responsibility of the parent or caregiver to ensure that the stored medication is within its expiry date. Parent/Carers are expected to collect any medication that has expired.
