Page Turners Book Awards Gala Night

Last week our Page Turners Book Club attended the Gala Event at Weald of Kent School where we saw the students’ choice awarded to M. A. Bennett for her book S.T.A.G.S. which is the first in her series of five books. A very popular title which also influenced many of the creative responses submitted by students, including cakes, models and illustrations. All 12 titles had the theme of ‘Isle Read That’ for their setting in and around the British Isles. The students met three of the authors who came and spoke and signed books on the night, and we watched inspiring video messages from the other authors.

Through the generosity of the sponsors of the event (Warners Solicitors, and Zuri Cyber Security & IT Support) each student was able to choose a free book from the book stall set up by Sevenoaks Book Shop.
