Our Team

Emma is an Assistant Headteacher at The Malling School, where she leads teaching and learning across the school. Her work focuses on professional development, instructional coaching and developing teachers and leaders. She is particularly interested in how schools create the conditions for consistently excellent teaching and meaningful professional growth.

An English teacher by background, Emma began teaching in 2013 at Brompton Academy, where she later became a Head of Department. She subsequently moved to The Malling School as Head of English before being promoted to Assistant Headteacher. Emma studied English Literature and Language at the University of Brighton and completed her teacher training through Kent and Medway Training.

Emma lives in Kent with her husband and young son. She has always loved reading, although these days she is more likely to be listening to an audiobook as she fits books around family life.
