World Book Day Silent 10s

On Wednesday, the whole Academy implemented World Book Day into their learning by having their Silent 10s linked to literature and reading. A couple examples of this were our English classes, who did activities such as ‘Imagine your favourite book character is starting a career; what career would they choose and why’ and looking at poems and how they are powerfully written or linked to modern society.

One of our Year 8 classes also undertook the creative task of redesigning the front cover and title of the book ‘Chinese Cinderella’. Please take a look at some photos of their work.
