The Skinners' Company Assembly to Year 12

On Thursday, Grant Morffew, one of our Governors and a liveryman of The Skinners’ Company, came to talk to our Year 12 students about Skinners’ Apprentices and the Company. The students did a quiz about The Skinners’ Company, answering questions like when the company came about, who was first granted a Freedom of the City and what it means to be a part of the Company. Grant also told the students about how they choose their apprentices, and specifically with SKA students, they must hold the SKA values of Success, Kindness and Aspiration. We hope our students found the talk interesting and perhaps have been inspired to work towards being a Skinners’ Apprentice.
