SCIENCE TECHNICIAN

Are you an organised, enthusiastic, and practical individual with a passion for science? We are looking for a Part-Time Science Technician to join our friendly and dedicated team of two, supporting the delivery of high-quality science education across the department. We are particularly keen to hear from candidates who enjoy fixing and building equipment, such as repairing electronic instruments, basic woodwork and drilling.

As a valued member of our technician team, you will help ensure that our science laboratories run smoothly and safely. Your work will directly support teachers and students by preparing equipment and materials for lessons, maintaining laboratory spaces, and assisting with the organisation of practical resources.

This role is 25 hours per week, 39 weeks per year (term time only plus INSETs)

Salary is SAT pay band C £25,252 - £26,262 per annum for full time (pro rata £14,872 - £15,467)

Job Purpose

Under the overall direction of the Head of Science and Senior Science Technician to co-ordinate the use of practical resources and facilities within the Science Department.
