This week a group of budding Year 10 Scientists went to visit Queen Mary University Hospital to see their Science Education Centre. They started inside ‘the pod’ which was a futuristic, interactive, immersive experience. There were curriculum-linked interactive games grounded in cell biology and the research happening in the labs below our feet. We could see the scientists at work in their labs below us.

We then went into the ‘Neuron Pod’ where we did a workshop on genetics. The workshop was led by one of the scientists from St Barts research team.

After lunch, we drove across London and spent the rest of the afternoon at the Natural History Museum where we got the time to see a few creepy crawlies and dinosaurs before heading back to Tunbridge Wells.
